- What times & dates are available for field trips?
2018 school tours are available Monday - Friday, October 1st through October 31. Most field trips are scheduled to start around 9am or 1pm
- How long will the field trip last?
Our field trips last approximately an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.
- Should I bring anything?
Kids should be encouraged to wear coats & rubbers boots - we pumpkin pick rain or shine! Also, please bring something for your students' to put their pumpkins in. For Example, plastic grocery bags with the students' names already on them.
- What about lunch?
Bring a sack lunch if you have reserved the lawn space for eating at the farm. If you choose to reserve lawn space to have lunch at the farm 30 minutes will be added onto the allotted time of the trip.
- What is the cost?
Students: $5.00 each
Teachers & Teachers Aids: Free
Chaperones & Siblings also $5.00 each
- What type of groups can receive these prices?
School group pricing is only valid for school classes and daycare facilities attending during normal school hours.
- What are your payment options?
We accept school purchase orders, official school checks, personal checks, credit cards, or cash.
- How old do students need to be to participate?
Our main target range of students is pre-kindergarten through second grade. The maze does require some walking; however, school groups only go through a portion of the maze to reduce walking. Most age levels can handle the corn maze. Pumpkin school is adjusted slightly depending on the age of the children. All ages love our pumpkin picking, hayride, and snacks.
- Can parents & teachers enjoy the activities too?
Yes, parents and teachers are encouraged to pick a pumpkin and enjoy a cider & donuts during snack time, it is included in the price of admission.
- How do I schedule a trip?
To schedule a trip call the farm at (810) 441-5534. Let us know who you are and the school you are with and ask to talk to Randy or Teresa. If you would prefer to reach out to us online please take the time to fill out this form
- I only have a small class. What is the minimum size for a group?
We require 10 paying participants, or a minimum of $50.
- How many people can we bring at one time?
We can accommodate as many as 90 students plus some adults. You can also consider breaking your group into a morning and afternoon group, or coming on two separate days. If you have a large group, book early so you can find an opening big enough for your group!
- Is your farm handicap accessible?
Our barn, bathroom, and eating facilities are handicap accessible. The pumpkin patch and maze can handle wheelchairs for those willing to navigate rough ground as long as there is not too much mud. However, we do not recommend pushing a wheelchair through the corn maze. Our hayrides pick up on a grassy area, but they do require three stairs to load.
- What happens if it rains the day of our trip?
We are open rain or shine. If you think the weather looks too bad to come on the day of your trip, please call our farm early in the morning. We will do our best to help you reschedule, but we typically have a fairly full schedule of trips especially near the end of October. If the rain looks intermittent, we have accommodated groups underneath our lean-to and in our barn.
- What type of parking is available?
We have plenty of parking available for both cars & buses, plus parking is free!
